Yes the diodes we use to replace the "top hats" in the Deuce would do VERY well for you - and they are very inexpensive too. FYI the top hats in the Deuce were rated at .5 amps, not .1 amps like the TA-230.

Amp designers of that bygone era would be AMAZED at the quality of these diodes - the performance (and cheap price) were WELL beyond the products of their day!
