Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

The conditional ONE choice . . .

If it was as new for stylus wear and suspension, my ADC XLM II cartridge from the '70s.

If it was to flank my flat screen TV, my original stacked Advents from the '70s.

If I had the proper subwoofer set up to flush out the low end, the M-L CLS I owned in the '80s.

If it worked more than a month before failing to the point where my dealer couldn't repair it, the Maplenoll Athena air-bearing platter and arm turntable from the '80s.

If matched with speakers of the appropriate impedance load, the Atma-Sphere MA-1 OTL amps I owned in the '80s. Oh yes, adequate cooling would be nice too.

If they weren't so large and heavy, the Duntech Princess speakers I owned for 19 years.

And if pigs had wings . . .
