Good lord, it sounds like you really need to take a deep breath and relax. Go listen to a really good TD-124II and you'll understand what its all about.
It was a good design back when it was new and it is still a good design. Some people prefer other things and thats perfectly OK butI submit that so many people lovingly restoring a certain model of a turntable indicates something. It has to have something going for it.
If you don't like them or won't give them a listen that's perfectly fine too. That doesn't mean other people don't love these turntables.
