RE: Bias or DC offset out of adjustment? nt.

Yep! Sure sounds like bias gone haywire. Recently had a case of a Pioneer SX828 that would shut down randomly. Turned out to be corrosion in the bias pot. The protection circuit monitored that and shut 'er down when the bias went too far out of whack. Took a while to figure that one out.
