Dual fans tend to prefer certain models over others but I've never heard one that sounded horrible, bad or anything less than good. I have a 1225 that I spent $12 before cart on, and after fiddling with it a bit, went from frozen up, not spinning, to fully operational and speed-consistant. It's one of 6 tables I keep in regular rotation (at least until the record is over)...
