The idlers have a drive that other drive systems just don't have. You probably are among the many people who prefer this sound. I have a Rek-O-Kut that needs a rebuild. Although I love my Linn LP12, almost everything I read says I should give the idler a try. It won't be hard to sell if I decide I prefer the Linn!
