RE: Stick with the 88's

Sorry; but in my experience years back, the KT88's were always better than the 6550. The little company I worked for in the very early 70's made tube amps with massively paralleled 6550's to drive shakers. But for the accelerometer calibration shaker amps they had saved several boxes (48 tubes per box, all from the same zone) of Gold Lion KT88's because the harmonic distortion was significantly lower.
