2 reasons Vintage Magnavox CD Players sound good?

see my post below for the 1410 - apparently pre-cursor DAC to the near legendary 1541 chip set. notice the pcb is copper-plated. the drive is a Philips CDM 2/10. google or follow link below that electrovice posted. great info. this thing sounds damn analog.
