Hmmm...seems to me the notion of Guitar "God" ( or "godliness" )has to mean more than just virtuosity, which so many of the listed players can be aptly attributed as having to lesser or greater degree.
For me, it conjures up more of the "awe" factor such as those who have for me created that "out-of-body" experience either while home listening or even better when live in concert. By that criteria, and again it will be different for each individual, ( unless perhaps we consider the impact and longevity of impact on a generation or more ), it narrows it down for me to Clapton, Gilmour or Neil Young. These are the three players who simply through the sheer force of their playing ( White Room / Comfortably Numb / Like a Hurricane for example ), have transported me in a quasi-religious way.
