Hi everyone,
As many of you know I have hosted a free information website honoring Electro-voice auido equipment. This has been a free website location located at Geocities.com. As of October 26th they are shutting down their free web hosting site and I have had to come up with something to accomodate the Vintage EV Website.
Therefore at the following location you will find the new website.
www.vintageev.com
It is still under construction so please be patient, as I have to renew all the links and pages to make them fully functional. Over the past four years I have not been able to modify the geocities website as the site builder would not load on any computer I owned. Now with this new website you can expect much of the information that has been sent me to be published and available. Therefore you might want to return often if your interested because their will be new stuff every weeks for the next few months.
In addition because I now have to pay for webspace I will be installing a donation link that will work with paypal accounts. If I receive $20.00 a month the site will pay for itself and we will be able to continue for some time I hope. As you know it takes time and effort to create and maintain a site like this, so although I am not looking to make a living or a profit from this site the more money I receive the more money I can spend making it better. If everyone that visits the site would just donate $1.00 per year then the site would be self sufficient. If things start to get hairy I will have to resort to drives to drum up money for this site.
This whole project is a labor of love on my part and I have been honored to have been able to do this for many people all over the world for the last ten years. I am happy to report that many many people have emailed because a relative had died and they just didn't know what they had. One gentleman had a pair of Patricians from the late 1950's with the Ionovac plasma tweeters in them. He asked if they were any good. I said no that if he wanted I would come over and pick them up and take them to the dump for him. NO! just kidding I explained what he had was a very special speaker and that if he wanted to restore them he could get parts online from Jack. The tweeters alone I have seen sell for $5K on ebay.
So you can see I get some exciting stories come my way because of hosting a site like this. People are wondering what they have and are looking for information.
Please spread the word to anyone you know that may want to know the location of this website.
Sincerely,
Terry Gesualdo
