You would do well to do so. I don't know what if any differences may exist between the GE-branded version and that of the o.e.m., Technics. From the front view, however, your midranges are identical to a pair I acquired many years ago from Dave Simonetti of Sim-O-Rama Sound in Totowa, New Jersey.
Dave's a second-generation tech and sound contractor who grew up surrounded by virtually every balls-to-the-wall Altec speaker system ever made, all of which he still owns. Your systems, at least in their Technics-branded form (with, if I remember correctly, 12” woofers of the same construction along with commensurately larger cabinets), are his all-time favorites for music listening (as opposed to sound reinforcement). They did not remain in production very long – allegedly because their honeycomb construction made them too expensive to manufacture.
