Maybe I am biased but nothing from Sherwood through the classic period is mediocre. I'm not familiar with the unit though I do remember they made a combo and it was thought of as at the top of the heap of the combos. Looking at the photo and that it had an AT-6 plus the US design faceplate would suggest it may have been one of the earliest of this this type, i.e. a receiver with a tt on top. From the photo, the interior looks like a US made unit though the back plate reminds me more of the later foreign production so it may have been at the time that Sherwood was switching to offshore sourcing.

I do suspect that you have a unit that is well worth getting back up and running.
