The woofer needs to match the box and the existing crossover/sensitivity to the tweeter. This is difficult but not impossible. The first thing is to match the enclosure. What size is the woofer and what internal volume/dimensions does the box have and is it a sealed box or does it have a port? Port dimensions? Second is to try and understand the crossover. What components(capacitors, inductors, resistors) does it have and can you read the values. Can you measure the DC resistance of the tweeter?
