Actually, the grille cloth is in very good shape with the exception that the previous owner reattached them with small screws instead of glue or velcro. The good news is that all of the logos are intact and in very good condition.

So, far I have only listened to them in mono with my very lo-fi office system, and they sound very powerful in the bass but kind of sucked-out in the mids. Is this a characteristic of these speakers or possibly an indication that the caps have gone south?
