I'd replace the crossover caps, either with similar non-polar electrolytic caps, or some Jantzen Cross Caps from Parts Express (the least expensive Jantzen)in order to not significantly change the voicing of the speakers. Being omni-directional models, they need to be away from the walls by at least a couple of feet.

That's a very nice speaker and is at it's best with a larger solid state amp. A larger Marantz receiver, for example. Impedance can get quite low, so only use an amp with a solid reputation for handling low impedance loads.

No need to change the wires inside the cabinet, but do be sure the connections to the individual drivers are clean and tight. Soldering the leads to the drivers is best.
