Noise shifted to other channel when I switched speaker cables at amp outputs. btw, it is a tube amp ( Sonic Frontiers sfs80). I messed around with reseating tubes and that didn't help. The power tubes all biased fine and 2 are almost new. I think it's one of my driver tubes in the right channel. I swapped out both 6DJ8s with an old 6922 I had around and the noise has now ceased.

Looks like it's time for a new set. I sort of mixed and matched a quad a couple years ago.

Any suggestions for good new 6922s or 6DJ8s? Or what should I try to seek out in an older quad of that type that won't break the bank.
