I know the transformers are capable for running 6L6 tubes but did you mean 6L6GC or 6L6 tubes..Both have different drive requirements for reaching full power..Besides raisng the neg fixed bias on the eico st70,you need to have more drive for the 6L6gcs to get full power and even the 6L6g needs more drive otherwise it will be clipping at less than half of its rated power.

It doesn't matter how you stir
