Ahhh. Happy to see the '32 (and below in previous thread.) Love the 390. How's the R-4 stack up? I have three TR-4s bought as a lot, the one that has its tubes works but could use a little tweaking. Also a very non-photogenic Hallicrafters S-108...

Mil surplus holds a special place in my heart. When I was a kid my uncle had a BC-318 as well as the more common BC-342. Those would definitely be a "two man lift" today. He had a lot of other pieces I can't recall at the moment, as well as some low-end Hallicrafters & National units. He gave me his S-53A when I got my Novice ticket. When I upgraded he offloaded a Meissner Signal Shifter on me since I no longer had to be rockbound. I actually used that barefoot on 80 & 40 CW (15 Watts!)

He also was into hi-fi, with a Rek-o-Kut lathe (with Empire arm), Viking recorders, Scott tuner, Heath preamp & amp, and a kit corner horn...

Ah, nostalgia. If I only had room now. Although I already have one bedroom and half the garage and a shed out back full of junk...
