Congrads on your enviable access to both Original & Utility Advent Loudspeakers, Billy the Quick! Got a tweener in da audio arsenal. Utility Advents a bud bestowed upon moi a decade or so ago. El Swifto here tossed woofs in favour of Technics replacements. A few years back, came across curbed-n-trashed Originals. Brown Soun reconed those woofs, along with replacing tweets(with Utility fryed-eggs)destroyed by over-ambitious pre-amping through Sansui 9090 amplification(that damn protection circuit kicked-in around 1/3rd volume with a disasterously shrill shriek). Unfortunately, woof dimensions for Originals-n-Utilities aint the same, damnit! Fortunately, Original woofs seemlessly blend with Utility tweets @ 13 uf n.p. xover. Surprisingly deep-n-tight bass, with slightly recessed mids, & gently rolled-off high end! From Bach to rawk, as an auld audio ad once proclaimed!!!
