but it again sounds like torque or tension pulling the arm across. That's why I suggested perhaps the cabling was tethered or pulled during the repair. It's very easy to do, and is a notoriously difficult issue on my Linn LP 12 arm cabling.

Did you call Art's repair and ask for simple advice on the phone?
