It has been a long sime since I've seen a schematic of the PAT-4. In looking at it now, it look like it could be stripped of many of the less useful features and be rebuilt as maybe a decent unit with some mods such as getting rid of the tone controls, loudness network, modding the phono equalizer and preamp to something that could be user set and variable levels. Wonder what Frank used to do with these. My experience has only been with his PAS3x mods.
