You have to take the grill cloths off and remove the woofer and insulation material to get at the pots..Now as far as jumping out the pots,you can do this to the tweeter pot but the midrange becomes bright if you jump it and I learned this from Jim Mcshane after I had done this so you want to replace the midrange pot and the high tweet pot you jumper.here is a schematic.

It doesn't matter how you stir
the pot, Bullshit in always equals Bullshit out!!
