Thursday, saw an add on Craig's List for a local Estate sale that was only 5 minutes away from my house for Saturday. Of course, I e-mailed them about buying the lot of vinyl on friday. They were so excited to have someone to come over and get "rid" of it. She told me there were 7 boxes filled with classical, broadway, Jazz albums all in excellent condition and that I could have them for 15 dollars a box....I offered 10 and the deal was done. Sight unseen of course. Next day got there at 8 am....husband said his wife lied to me....now I am thinking here we go the old good cop ...bad cop routine!! But he said there were actually thirteen boxes and that I could have them all for the agreed to price.
I was so busy friday(took day off work)grabbed all the Vinyl dropped at house, then ran into SF to pick up the two TTs and the Concept. Stopped at Sound Well to do health check on TTs. Also stoped at Rasputins to scour the Vinyl bins(Picked up some Tom Jones and Herb Albert)...then finally made it home...to look at all the treasures I just picked up. Lots of Arthur Fielder complete collections, Time Life collections...London,...just ton's of mint condition collections...I am going to spend today cataloging all this and will provide a list on the vinyl page if they do not beat me up.
For a total of $140 dollars I had a great day..without the wife and kids...tommorow?? Wifey, was like oh no now what did you do but then she warmed up to all the music.
