I acquired these speakers at the thrift yesterday for 7.00/pr. Beautiful rosewood cabinets, 4 way design with dome tweeter. the two 7'' woofer surrounds are moldy toast. sound great considering rotted surrounds
questions:
1. no wire posts, just a thin wire coming out the back(which does not come off) to a female rca jack. Which is positive? I already cut one off to test it so I can't just use the same for each and call it good....
2. 4ohm impedance...any problem with my vintage amps(marantz 2325. 2226b. sansui 881)?
3. special sources for replacement surrounds or are the usual suspects OK?
any other words of wisdom (besides those my girlfriend shared with me as I hauled 'em out of the car...!)
