I agree: the midrange clarity is something indeed. The response is very flat out to about 3-3.5 Khz. Could the flat response, rigid basket, and paper cone be the reasons for this?

The sad thing is that our toddler's prediliction for knocking things over has nixed Daddy's project using the 25F-EW. The boxes would simply be too big and too heavy, perched on top of speaker stands, to be be in our living room. So, suddenly, I need to consider a diy stereo sub-sat system instead. Big change in plans, but I came to that conclusion earlier today, which is good because my carpenter was going to cut ply for the "smaller" boxes this weekend. The obvious type of accident is not worth it. Daddy will just postpone the "big" project until we move and he gets his own listening room. ;}
