Friday had continuous rain, from dawn 'til dusk, making it very hard to fully set-up and expose all our goods at the same time. Every time I lifted a plastic tarp to show something, something close by got wet ! This frustration was overcome by some loyal fans, whom I thank ! The rain even stopped others from setting up, which could have appeared like the audio offerings were slim, but, that is far from true. There was tonnage of hifi, as there always is on Friday. There were also some great listening sessions going on, all day and night. Bravo to all us die hards that had to keep the tunes going !

As always, the comaraderie is there in large quantities. As our tarps tore, other exhibitors quickly jumped in, loaning their help with fasteners and tarps, helping each other gain sanity and peace of mind. The free camping at these shows is becoming more and more a draw, even in the rain ! The food was plentiful and always available, reasonably. It seemed that everyone I know lucked out, finding at least something to boast about. I made a great trade with a fellow amp builder and even stumbled onto some phono cartridges. There was a huge abundance of tubes to be had, at great prices. Likewise, speakers were available at many vendors' setups. Vintage turntables were a bit rarer, this show, but the weather might have to be blamed, as Saturday brought more stuff and many more exhibitors. I had to leave early on Saturday, like 10 AM, to return the dental, I mean rental, van, which was costly, but allowed me to bring about 4 times my usual load. But, alas, I did not net four times the $$$. Nevertheless, I know many of us had a great time. Whwn I did leave, there was still plenty of action going on. A few supposed buyers asked why I was packing up, yet they did not ask for certain items, even though some were told to check me out for hifi stuff. I was setting up from 0600 Saturday, yet slowly packing up from 0830. The autumn show is slated for early September, I think 9/9&10. Hopefully, the rain will stay away, so we can all play, Friday...

Once again, THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to all who make this event possible. The attendee numbers showed a slower Friday than usual, with weather the obvious reason, but, a good time was certainly had by all...
