It makes NO differance how long the wires from power supply to audio circut actually are, i.e. power supply on same chassis as audio circut or separated via an umbilical. IOW you will also be bringing up the power amplifer at same time as the preamp since they share the same power supply (just as if it were an integrated design). BTW, take a moment to THINK before working on high-voltage electronic circuts.
