Has paper mains and the caps on what I guess to be the "Pre" look like they may be plastic. Didn't get a chance to play with it today as another project turned up.
Lucas, I picked up a Revox A-77 RtR a couple years ago. Came with some 10" reels. A couple were recorded with 60's music. Sound great when I played them and after examining he heads I didn't see any shedding. I've bought a number of 7-1/2" and 10" tapes (did a bonehead move on one opportunity) without any problems so far. I did pick up an "Audio Devices" tape the other day because it had a metal reel but found a note on the back saying not to destroy it because it is a recording of Macarthur's radio farewell. This first couple inches are shedding due to misuse. Haven't played it so I don't know about the rest.
