I picked up a pair last week (for $250). I put them in-system with my Klipsch Cornwalls driven by a McIntosh MA-6100 (70 wpc). I bought them to flip, but decided to keep them (in a different system... the Klipsch/McIntosh set-up is my little bit of heaven).

I was surprised how relatively efficient they were (89dB @ 1mW). Your CR-820 might be straining, but not too much. I dialed the treble and mid back 3dB as recommended by a British review I read, and loved the result.
