For years I was listening to digital and I basically put my records and turntables away until one day I upgraded and repaired a scott 299 for someone and I needed to check the phono stage..When I did,it was sooooo good that I put my turntables back in the system...
Sigh. I used to have a fairly large vinyl collection. I inherited several thousand 78rpm big band stuff from my uncle, and then I had a lot of 33s from the fifties and sixties. All gone now. Along with the cassettes, I'm afraid. I still have my cd collection (which can't even come close to duplicating what I once had on vinyl...) Man, it's hard to keep up with the media game, isn't it?

I'll keep an eye peeled for a good turntable. Any recommendations for a system like mine? I suppose I can start collecting vinyl again. There are a lot of good stores for it here in the SF Bay area.
