I checked the rules, and didn't see any prohibition against posting pics, so I hope I'm not treading on any toes.

This is my Technics SA-500 driving a pair of Advent Loudspeakers (vinyl), using a contemporary low-end Toshiba DVD player for CDs, and an old IBM T20 as an MP3 player. (It's wireless, and I use it to download MP3s as well).

I really like this setup. I tried the SA-200 on these speakers, and it really didn't do a very good job - not powerful enough. I don't like big, boomy bass, (my favorite rock concentrates on singers and lyrics rather than headbanger stuff), but I like to hear nice, tight, punchy bass.

I tried a Rudolf Serkin performance of Beethoven Sonatas, and it was amazing. He sings along, too, just like Errol Garner - and I never heard it before.

I'm going to use the Bose 301/IIs with the SA-200 down in the living room, and see how XM Radio sounds running through that setup from my cable tv.

I don't know if you can tell, but I'm really enjoying this. I have friends with multi-thousand dollar AV systems, and they don't sound half as good as this $160 setup. Unbelievable!

By the way, why do a lot of MP3s sound so sucky?
