Raq,

Mine do not run hot.

I at the time i had them, replaces the coupling caps, a few resistors and new tubes, KT90's Ei. No problems. I put in the SDS Board and no issues.

I use the Slow start CV378, I think that is the designation Mullard GZ37.

Lowers the B+ some. Never an ounce of problems.

Power Transformers do run hot, but not overly hot.

No cages were on them.

Again, I left everything else stock, except changing the Bias Resistors to ground as 10 Ohm Dale 1% 2W.

Not sure this helps but try to get back to the beginning and just stock with the SDS Board. Maybe you added too many changes?
