You could easily and safely run these in series on a single set of speaker outputs and then there would be no question, the answer would be yes. I measure 5.3 ohms on a DVM and they are rated at 8 ohm nominal. Could be risky running the pair at high output, the manual previously referenced advises against too low an impedance. Older Luxmans are pretty good at running lower impedance loads...
