I recently recapped the entire integrated amp, essentially for use with other components. So after weeks of patching out the preamp and amp sections to other units I decided to 'TRY' the 1200 as an actual integrated amp.

Holy cr@p !!!!!! this has to be perhaps one of the ALL time best integrated amps produced! I mean this thing is kicking the snot out of my McIntosh seperates! Tons, I mean TONS of bass, full strong mids and surprisingly clean highs. And a decent sound stage to boot. I can listen to this thing a very low volume and STILL rattle a window with bass. It's almost funny to listen to it because it has like a crazy amount of bass power. And it is fairly dynamic. Not the last work in dynamic like a NAD. but it is definelty there.

But again the caveat is - it NEEDS a total recap job. These were built in 1971 and are a little tired.
