I have learned that many do this to persay hold a item, good BIN vintage gear items last not long & if it is something they want fairly bad they elminate the risk & also buys them time to come up with the money. I have a 289/100 & very familiar with how these things go down. Yes there is the freak or 2 that appear, but all in all I get a pretty good good bunch of folks that enter my auctions. So just use a reserve & get hard core & go wide open......
