Dang! I gotta go to more estate sales in Ocala (about 30 miles south of me). The Sherwood receivers are not all that rare but there are likely fewer of the model IVs around since SS was being introduced around that time and many buyers were probably going for the latest new technology. I think the tuner section of the IV is the same as the S-3000 V Tuner, which are also fairly rare compared to earlier versions. The prices of the receivers have gone up quite a bit in the past year or two but that's the highest price I've seen for sure - $300-350 is more typical. I have a pretty good sized collection of Sherwood integrateds and a couple of the S-8000 receivers stashed somewhere too. It used to be that the receivers sold for less than the integrateds. Sherwood tube gear sounds awesome. Highly recommended!
