RE: Nakamichi PA5 and PA7, opinions

You have to take what I say with a grain of salt, but when I worked for Myer Emco, they sold Threshold and when I worked for Audio Associates, thy sold the Nak PA5 and 7. My impression was that I prefered the Thresholds. The Nak sounded a little dull on most speakers, though not to the point that I would call it bad. The only speaker that I really liked the Naks driving was Acoustat 2+2. It seemed to bring the best out of them. The problem is my comarative listening impressions are spread out by 2 years. I never heard the amps side by side.

I currenly own a Threshold CAS-1, and I like it a lot, but that is not a Stasis amp.
