They should sound just fine with either but you'll have a lot more effortless dynamics with a decently sized SS amp.These are probably my fave low level speaker especially if you put the drivers in better cabs. A25's are really not that High Eff. This might not be an issue at bedroom levels unless you like to relive the 70's once in a while. Ah..... sex, drugs, and R&R. Thankfully my doctor only keeps me away from the drugs.
