I've substituted the fuse lamps for my Fisher 500-S model (originally designated FL6/6) with the LED festoon lamps sold from a guy on eBay. While the color temp isn't quite as "warm" as the incandecent lamps, I will say that the "white" color really makes the dial "pop" and is well illuminated, even and really makes it a pleasure to look at in a dimly lit room. That, and the knowledge that the lamps will surely outlive the Fisher is satisfying in itself.
