I also have channel imbalance problem on my Fisher 400 which I recently acquired. First, I've swapped signal and output tubes, but no suceess. Then I opened the chassis and measured the resistance of the vol. pot and found large differences between left and right channel. After cleaning with Deoxit, it solved the problem.
