Ckecking for air leaks

I was wondering what methods people use to verify that an acoustic suspension box has no air leaks... in particular when there is more than 1 woofer. On a single woofer cabinet I go by how quickly the cone returns after you push it back and hold it for a few seconds. On a multiple woofer cabinet, I used to think that if the other cone(s) moved outward when you pushed one in, that there was a decent seal. When I was reassembling my Epicure 400+'s (4 woofers per cabinet) after refoaming, I was quite surprised to see that with only 2 of the 4 woofers installed, if I pushed one cone inward, the other one moved outward... even though there were two huge holes where the other woofers go. Suddenly the push test is worthless IMO.

Also, If there is a leak, how do you locate where it is?

Paul
