Because I have owned and used them for MANY years, I mean decades, and, when operating properly ( few now a days do ), they can be just wonderful. The problem is, after all these years, finding a good one !! They can play and sound very powerful within their range, I mean sound like a 200 watt plus amp, and it has the best low-bass one will ever come across, tube or solid state at any power rating.

I used the receiver on a seven-way speaker system that was +/- 2 dB from 13 HZ to 108 KHZ.

So I was just curious as tho how you got interested in this piece in 2007, and how you might employ one, what type of system, etc.,.... if you ever got a good one.
