Great- thanks so much, I just contacted them and ordered 6 of each (frosted and non frosted) to experiment with. My only real concern is if they will run cool enough, the original bulbs were spec'd at 7 volts, 2watts, 6x43mm and only get moderately warm even after being on for hours. I had been experimenting with some Sylvania model # 211-2, 12 volt auto lamps that I bought locally for $1.99 the pair. These have large endcaps which I first flattened to fit and eventually removed. I then coiled some 20 gauge solid core copper around a former (3/16 dowel) and then tinned and soldered to the contact wire coming out of the glass on both ends. It works fine, but they run very hot, so I have no plans to use them for any length of time. I'll report my findings when the good bulbs arrive. Thanks again, wpod
