Last night I decided to make a killer PC stereo system. Well, killer as compared with the vast majority of PC sound systems.
I've had this Sony packed away in the closet for say 4 years, and had only played it a bit after I got it.
When I went to pull it down, I was thinking it was a smaller 30 wpc or so. Jeezlouise, the thing is big and heavy! Strange, but no power consumption listed on the back labels, so no joy for a rough estimation. The TA-AX285 is not listed in my 1997 Orion. It is about the same size as my Kenwood KM-206 150 wpc amp, and as big and heavy as my Technics SU-G91 130 wpc integrated.
Gotta be at least 60 wpc, and possibly even 100 wpc.
Can't find squat on the net, just some eBay auctions with no info.
Anywho, I am waiting on a Sony powered woofer I bought off eBay, and plan to use my Minimus-77's. Right now I have clogged the LR with a pair of RTR-123 12-inch, 3-way speaker systems. Heck, they would be great if I had the room to put one on either side on my PC station.
BTW, what are some good sites for net radio streaming audio?
