There were actually at least two different 2 series woofers which were used after AR stopped making the aluminum basket, cloth surround driver. They were both manufactured by CTS. They both were conventionally sized 10" drivers. Both had either 4 or eight bolt holes, as opposed to the 6 bolts of the older driver. The first still had an Alnico V magnet, but it was a horseshoe type magnet. The driver was like an oversized AR 4x driver. The last one that I know of was the one with the ceramic magnet. Happily, they all were built with a free air resonance of around 26 hertz and are very, very tough; which means that though they may be old, they are probably capable of better extended bass response than almost any other modern driver out there at a reasonable price.
