I have a pair of TF-3's they are from the tube era. It has a 10 inch Flexaire woofer and a Sonodome tweeter. It is very efficient and only takes a 10 watt amp to fill a room with sound. They sound very good to me! They are best dscribed as non fatiguing. They are very smooth and not harsh in the midrange tweeter section. There is more than adequate bass considering that a lot of high efficiency units from that era were lacking in that department. I would say that they would not be considered a rock speaker although they sound good with any music they are better with jazz and such. Nice speaker!
