I have heard both. Spicas do what they do very well but they don't go low and they don't have the dynamic range. The Dahlquists are big because size matters when you want to move air. If you can live with less base and dynamic range, you will probably be very happy with the Spica. Make sure you can. I would buy the Spicas but keep the Dahlquists for at leas a few months before I decided.
