Interesting choice: the DQ-10's did lots of things right, but I could never tolerate that tweeter... or their woofers either for that matter. The Spicas are somewhat soft on top - it will be a big change from the Dahlquists. Upgrade the caps on the Spica crossovers to extend their top end a bit and open them up some.

The loudness factor can be negated with a good sub: my pair of TC50's with a Titan II LE sub and the programmable filter fill a huge room with as much sound as anyone could want (take a little caution on electic guitar riffs please.) But this adds at least $1k to the cost, even with used gear. At least replacement tweeters are again available for the Spicas.
