last i checked, transformers don't disintegrate.i use a 1956 eico EVERY DAY and plan to ad infinitum!
power caps.. that'll need replacing eventually.. but you'd be hard pressed to find a harder working, longer lasting pile o' parts than most solid vintage amps!
