as not giving "credit where credit is due". As noted in my post, I suspected I may have spelled Mr. Berning's name incorrectly.
David Berning's corrected de-emphasis circuit in his letter to Audio Amateur was quoted (with credit given to Mr. Berning) in the Glass Audio article on upgrading the FM-3 I referred to.
The Glass Audio article has Berning's corrected PEC, both explained and diagrammed. Additionally, it details the power supply upgrade and parts improvement the original poster was interested in.
